Play Time is the duration a target may remain on station within the engagement area, expressed in hours and minutes. This window lets you plan how long the aircraft will be available for tracking and possible engagement, so sensors and fires can be allocated effectively without wasting resources. It reflects how long you can expect the target to stay within range and priority before you must re-evaluate or re-task, not how long the radar scans or a maintenance or abort timeline. For example, if a target has a Play Time of 2:30, you plan around a two-and-a-half minute window to track and potentially engage, after which you reassess the situation.
